NMM engine for amaroK

amaroK is a powerful audio player for KDE. Besides nice features like drag'n'drop playlist, collection browser, context browser with statistics and album covers, there is also support for different audio engines. The new NMM engine utilizes many features of the latest NMM release. The new GraphBuilder enables playback of all kinds of media. It's now even possible to play videos with amaroK.

Current features

  • new GraphBuilder: automatic construction of NMM flow graphs from URLs
  • audio playback: MP3, Ogg Vorbis, WAV, AC3
  • video playback: AVI, MPEG, OGM
  • all standard features like playback, seeking etc.

Possible extensions

  • audio CD playback
  • DVD playback
  • TV with timeshifting
  • distributed devices: watch TV on a computer without TV card!
  • session sharing: watch a DVD on different computers at the same time!
  • visualization effects
  • and many more...
